Position Description

The Director of Product Analysis & Pricing will report to the EVP of Product Marketing and will be responsible for research and analysis that will drive product and pricing decisions across the organization. Core to the role will be the creation of a regular management cadence and reporting to understand business trends, by category, combined with the necessary research and analysis to identify and execute against opportunities. This role will also lead pricing strategy for all business units ensuring continuous improvement, best practices and pricing optimization to maximize gross profit.

 The Director of Product Analysis & Pricing will work cross functionally and should be able to influence others without direct authority.   With high exposure to senior leadership this role requires the ability to effectively articulate a viewpoint and will need high attention to detail with excellent communication/presentation skills.  SnapAV is a fast-paced environment therefore this position requires someone who can manage multiple products simultaneously as well as being a motivated self-starter.  The Director of Product Analysis & Pricing will be leading cross-functional initiatives while establishing a platform to grow into P&L responsibility.


Specific Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain standardized performance dashboards for product groups while monitoring performance against sales projections and margin
  • Leverage various methods, such as cohort behaviors, wallet share, product trial and repurchase and customer migration to increase customer lifetime value
  • Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace with actionable recommendations
  • Provide channel and product owners with research to identify opportunities within and across categories to define product strategy and drive growth
  • Lead research leveraging internal and external data sources to gain intelligence on the markets, products/features, competitors and customers
  • Assist the product teams have a better understanding what they should build, for what markets, for what return, and why
  • Support leadership and key stakeholders with recurring and ad-hoc analyses
  • Contribute in semi-annual strategic planning sessions to establish goals and objectives



  • Lead development of pricing strategy for products and to optimize contribution margin and gross margin
  • Drive continuous improvement and enhancement in pricing by establishing and executing a pricing review cadence to ensure compliance with model
  • Develop and implement a pricing communication strategy for customers and internal employees
  • Perform financial analysis and recommendations on bottom line impact of price and discount structures
  • Partner with Product Managers to develop and maintain a standardized Competitive Pricing Master Database (CPMD)


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in Pricing or Category Management
  • 3+ years' experience in management
  • Strong business acumen, creative problem-solving and analytical capability
  • Demonstrated aptitude with financial analysis and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable strategies
  • Experience working in B2B industries with hardware and software products


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous category or brand management within consumer electronics
  • MBA or other advanced business degree
  • Consulting experience
  • Working knowledge of SAP, SaaS and Vendavo or other pricing and profit tools
