Position Description

Reporting to the Director of Business Technology Operations the IT Business Systems Analyst is responsible for defining and driving the business implementation(s) for SnapAV’s eCommerce system, ERP platform, as well as our business reporting and data warehousing solutions.  This position will be a key contributor in finding ways to better utilize existing IT systems that will help improve business process, productivity, output and distribution resulting in achieving strategic business goals. The IT Business Systems Analyst must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment that is goal oriented and emphasizes accountability for delivering results.  This position requires a proactive self-starter who has strong problem-solving analytical skills and a high attention to detail. 

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Consult with stakeholders by translating business needs into software requirements
  • Lead design and review sessions with technical and business staff
  • Identify gaps in business requirements and document processes
  • Act as liaison between business stakeholders, customers or end users and the software development team
  • Oversee implementation, coordinate tests and observe initiation of the system to validate performance
  • Analyze existing business processes for inefficiencies and improve the system to better meet the business goals
  • Make recommendations for solutions and/or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
  • Partner with IT support staff to deliver business and technical objectives
  • Elicit requirements using meetings, focus groups, interviews, surveys, document analysis, etc.
  • Develop specifications, diagrams and flowcharts
  • Use techniques such as sampling, model building and structured analysis to ensure the solution is efficient and feasible
  • Documenting and evaluating required data and information
  • Use modeling, testing and data models to improve the flow of information through an organization to enhance project success

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst Experience
  • Diverse experience on multi enterprise systems (eCommerce, ERP, Logistics, Warehousing)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects and releases

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong release management background preferred
  • Knowledge of integrations between enterprise systems
  • Experienced in distribution business and/or corporate reporting
  • Professional Business Analyst certification other equivalent certification
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution, logistics and warehousing systems
  • Demonstrated ability to write requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely
  • Ability to decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional and nonfunctional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by project team members who base their work on the requirements
