Position Description

The Aisle8 Senior Marketing Manager, reporting to the Vice President and General Manager of Aisle8, is responsible for developing, implementing and executing marketing plans for the Aisle8 IT/Datacom market in order to attract potential customers as well as retain and grow existing customers.  The Senior Aisle8 Marketing Manager is expected to think outside the box in order to manage both technical and analytic challenges as presented within the business while leading market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and future products/services.  The Senior Aisle8 Marketing Manager must combine creative thinking with business analytics to make informed decisions and recommendations for growth through marketing tactics.   The position will interact internally with creative personnel, product managers, sales personnel, and executives and must effectively communicate and foster support across all groups.   The position will also interact externally with media organizations, advertising agencies, consultants, and other vendors and must negotiate pricing and manage detailed tactical plans.  


Specific Responsibilities

  • Participate in high-level strategic planning, learning and reporting on successful growth strategies
  • Continually refine and improve customer acquisition and engagement campaigns across multiple mediums including electronic communications, direct mail, and trade show participation
  • Understanding of various costumer profiles and ability to build plans around specific customer needs
  • Develop new marketing channels with ability to measure ROI
  • Develop, manage and execute annual strategic marketing communications plan to span across all communications media while reaching the appropriate targeted audience using a variety of tools, including events, brochures, web, video, infographics and social media
  • Manage dealer channel communications, i.e. newsletters, and identify communications opportunities to improve timely delivery to dealers and customer facing team members
  • Prepare and report against KPIs, report learnings and proactively reporting methods of improving performance
  • Manage the marketing offer decision engine to maximize cross-sell efforts
  • Design and manage significant marketing campaigns and help drive customer retention
  • Prepare and oversee departmental budget as well as project based budgets
  • Manage the overall preparation and execution of large trade show events and dealer meetings
  • Prepare and effectively deliver presentations to management outlining marketing efforts, market dynamics, and progress towards financial targets and KPIs
  • Partner with various departments to develop and enhance reporting decks and dashboards
  • Support e-Commerce analytics and work with e-Commerce team to continually enhance the online partner experience and maximize marketing opportunities
  • Oversee all touch points (across website, marketing, customer service, sales) to the engaged/tenured customer base and recommend and implement changes as appropriate


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management or relevant field
  • 5 + Years’ Experience using quantitative methods to solve business problems with marketing initiatives
  • Intimate understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Experience with budget management
  • Strong analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges
  • Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in graphic design, web design, production, etc.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience marketing technology products
  • Previous experience in early-stage business growth
