Position Description

The Security Channel Manager will report to the Vice President of Security Business Development and will be responsible for developing business relationships with dealers, monitoring stations, and generate channel demand for market leading intelligent video surveillance technologies.  This role requires and individual with strong business acumen and a background in technical sales.   The Security Channel Manager should have excellent presentation skills, both live and virtual, with the ability to constantly assess the needs of the customer.  This position requires a driven entrepreneur who will build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and establishing business relationships within the Video Monitoring community.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Identify Monitoring Station Partners and Remote Video Monitoring Installers across the United States
  • Identify and develop new prospects, generate product interest and expand category penetration of existing customer base
  • Analyze account profitability and determine sales technique, advertising and market penetration
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports and submit your findings and analysis to senior management
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and business leaders
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Strong sales characteristics and skills, including: qualifying skills, overcoming objections and obstacles to a sale, and asking for the business
  • Ability to price, negotiate, and spec for new and existing customer accounts based on their needs and goals
  • Ensure continued customer satisfaction, build and maintain customer relationships and follow up with company resources to make sure after sales support is received
  • Ability to remain professional and focused throughout conflict resolution
  • Capable of multi-tasking and self-managing day-to-day scheduling


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ outside sales experience
  • 3+ years’ experience within the surveillance channel
  • Demonstrated track record of proven business results
  • Problem-solver with strong client/executive relationship management abilities
  • Ability to think strategically and make decisions based on thorough research and analysis
  • Willing to travel 60% of the time
  • Active and clean driver’s license
  • Must reside in continental United States


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous experience within the video surveillance industry preferably working with Alarm / Video monitoring stations
