Position Description

The Warehouse Material Handler will report to the Warehouse/Shipping Manager and is responsible for moving product within the warehouse and ensuring the flow of material through the supply chain. This role will be responsible for routine cycle counts; therefore, comfort with basic math skills is required. The Material Handler will partner closely with both the Warehouse Receiving and Shipping Clerks thus clear communication is a key attribute to this position.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Move and stock merchandise within distribution warehouse
  • Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies
  • Perform routine inventory cycle counts
  • Distributes product to appropriate departments
  • Maintains the workplace and warehouse in a neat, clean and orderly condition
  • Partner with representatives from other departments in the organization to provide warehouse information as requested

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years’ experience in a warehouse environment or relevant experience
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Able to lift 45lbs
  • Must be able to work 7:30am – 4:00pm

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of computerized inventory control systems
  • Experience operating a forklift
