Position Description

The Quality Engineer II position will report to the Director of Quality and will be responsible for overall continuous improvement efforts in product performance across a large and diverse portfolio.  This position requires an individual who is self-motivated and can quickly comprehend new information.  The Quality Engineer II will partner with various internal and external departments, including oversees operations, and should be confident in communicating SnapAV standards and expectations to others.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing products are built properly against predetermined specifications
  • Drive quality initiatives at all key suppliers and improving quality performance through effective problem solving using quality tools and concepts
  • Prioritize and manage customer product quality issues until root cause, solution and corrective action have been identified
  • Help coordinate activities across teams in different physical locations with potentially different priorities
  • Review and approve all product test plans
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations
  • Completes projects by training and guiding technicians
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • International travel may be required


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 3 Years Engineering Experience
  • Experience partnering with suppliers
  • Proficient using problem solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why’s, or Pareto Analysis


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in consumer electronics
  • Experience in lean manufacturing concepts
  • Project Management Experience
  • Proficient using SharePoint
  • Experience with ISO requirements
  • Experience with data mining and analysis
